A prestigious awards event set up to showcase the best of innovation resulting from collaboration between higher education institutions and businesses in the East of England has been officially launched. For more than a decade, the Lord Stafford Awards has promoted the efforts of businesses and universities working together to embrace innovation to develop new processes, products and services in the West Midlands.
An afternoon event exploring ways in which the construction and building industries in the East of England can improve innovation by linking with the universities in the region. The event will feature displays, talks and discussions about how to increase innovation, research and knowledge transfer.
University Campus Suffolk (UCS) has joined forces with the business to university support service, i10, to increase the wealth of academic expertise available to businesses in Suffolk and across the East of England.
Following i10's successful funding bid of £192,000 to help regional businesses go low carbon, East of England businesses can now apply for a £1,000 voucher and benefit from two days' low carbon consultancy with one of i10's eleven universities.
